With Piazza Grande framed by its medieval palazzi and Vasari’s imposing loggia, the Corso that leads to the majestic Romanesque church of Santa Maria della Pieve and the countless alleyways and towers, one ceaselessly comes face to face with history, with centuries of adaptation that began with the Etruscans and Romans and have continued right up to the present day, rich in craftsmen’s skills, the precious produce of nature and major events, the most significant of which are the Antique Fair and the Giostra del Saracino.
