This rose deserves a prominent place in the garden. Its double flowers are bright crimson and cup-shaped; the petals have a marbled appearance accentuated by a white edge. It is a rather untidy shrub that should be kept dense with small pruning operations. It has stiff, strong spines and leathery, dark green leaves. The flower is very fragrant and it repeat blooms in excellent growing conditions. It tolerates shade well and can be pot-planted.
