A small shrub rose which prefers warm and sheltered conditions. It adapts well to use in hedges, borders and cultivation in pots.
It has a beautiful fragrant flower in dark, intense and velvety crimson, which reveals golden stamens when in bloom. It flowers throughout the summer and prefers partial shade to prevent burning to the flowers from strong exposure to sunlight.
