A fascinating concert with music and poetry from the Renaissance in the somptuous "Sala Bianca" of Pitti Palace to revive the ambiance of the Medici's Court where modern opera was born.
A tribute to Giulio Caccini to celebrate 400 years from his death occurred on 7th December 1618, the concert, based on Caccini's arias and madrigals, will take place on 8th December from 4pm and will be played by the prestigious Spanish ensemble Masquevoces formed by Estrella Cuello Ramón (soprano) and Josías Rodríguez (theorbo and Baroque guitar). The concert will be interspersed by the reading of 1500s and 1600s works of poets like Battista and Alessandro Guarini, Gabriello Chiabrera and Florentine Ottavio Rinuccini.
