The Uffizi Galleries awarded with the Louise Braille Prize
The 27th edition of the ceremony awards at the Pergola Theatre in Florence
The Louis Braille Award sponsored by the Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted (UICI) went to the Uffizi Galleries on 20 December, in the Pergola Theatre in Florence. A free night event to spread the issues of visual disability and express gratitude to the community for the commitment in various areas of daily life. The Prize, named after the inventor of the revolutionary writing and reading system that changed the lives of millions of blind people around the world, represents the highest national award dedicated to persons and organizations that have distinguished themselves in fostering the full inclusion of people with visual impairment.
