Minidress by Pino Lancetti

Sleeveless organza minidress embroidered throughout with gold sequins with small roses in relief in sequins and bead pearls in gilded glass. The hem is adorned with small bead pearls and crystals ranging in shade from white to yellow. The dress has a round neckline, a slit on the lefthand side and a zip fastening on the left hip. The lining is in bemberg and organza. The garment was worn by Catherine Spaak (1945-2022). Pino Lancetti made his debut in the Pitti Palace’s Sala Bianca in 1961 and was an instant success. Actresses of the calibre of Ginger Rogers (1911-95), Silvana Mangano, (1930-89), Annie Girardot (1931- 2011) and Catherine Spaak became his customers, as did Anna Bonomi (1910-2003) and the Princess Soraya (1932-2001).
