Suit in wool crêpe with black geometrical designs printed on a white ground. Jacket with lapels and long sleeves with cuffs at the wrist. Sleeveless dress with diagonal white woollen bodice, a crew-neck and a belt with a bow; straight printed crêpe skirt; fastened on the left with hooks and a zip. White silk blend lining.
Valentino Garavani's debut on the catwalk in the Pitti Palace's Sala Bianca in 1962 was widely acclaimed by customers and critics alike. In 1967 he won the Neiman Marcus Award, the first in a long series of lifetime achievement awards. This suit belonged to Gioia Marchi Falck.
