TAKING THE TOUR
All visitors must show up at the Meeting Point at least five minutes before the Royal Apartment Tour time slot shown on their ticket. Failure to show up on time will entail loss of the right of admission to the Apartments, in view of the limited number of visitors per group. Please note that it takes about twenty minutes to reach the Meeting Point from the main door leading into Palazzo Pitti from the square (Piazza Pitti).
Tickets will be inspected a second time at the Meeting Point in order to ensure that they are valid for admission to the Royal Apartments, so please make sure you do not throw your ticket away. You should show your ticket along with valid ID. Tickets of visitors who have booked a same-day tour (and thus, whose names do not appear on the list supplied to staff early in the morning) will be inspected by a member of staff at the entrance to the Galleria Palatina.
Group members must stay together at all times as a security precaution. Visitors must not stray or wander away from the group. Instructions imparted by accompanying staff members must be strictly complied with at all times.
Tour guides lecturing a group must do so in accordance with the following conditions: within the planned time frame for the tour; without disturbing other visitors; using whisper systems if necessary, for groups of no more than six members.
Given that tickets are valid for each museum in the Palazzo Pitti circuit only once, any visitors who wish to visit the Galleria Palatina after touring the Royal Apartments because they did not do so beforehand, may only enter the Galleria Palatina in the company of the Gallerie degli Uffizi staff member(s) who accompanied their group, on leaving the Royal Apartments (this option is not available to visitors choosing the 4.45 p.m. time slot).
